We use the name Church of God because it is a biblical name. The name “Church of God” is used in the New Testament to describe the body of Christ. What better name is there for a group who worships God! (1 Corinthians 1:2; 10:32; 2 Corinthians 1:1; Acts 20:28)

We consider ourselves to be a part of a bigger Community of believers. Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is a part of that Community. (Acts 2)

We believe that when one accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior, God places that person into His church, His community – the family of God.

We strive to be a church that follows the teachings of the early Church and what Christ taught by living our lives for Him, by worshipping and serving right here in our community.

We use the name Church of God because we want to witness that we are a part of the body of Christ. We want to encourage you to find your place within the body of Christ. Whether it is here at Bethany or within another part of the Family of God don’t miss out on Eternity!
