In 2011, I was appointed as the Judge of the General Sessions Court of Hawkins County, Tennessee, after having been elected in 2006 as the Judge of the Juvenile Court. It has been one of the greatest privileges of my professional career to serve our community in these positions.

Judge James “Jay” Taylor has formed a Citizens Group whose primary purpose is to sponsor a Foundations of American Law and Government Display in the new Hawkins County Tennessee Justice Center.
On July 29, 2011, Judge James "Jay" Taylor was appointed as the Judge of the General Sessions Court of Hawkins County, Tennessee. Taylor is seeking election to the position in the 2012 Election.
